I actually could not believe what I was hearing. I walked into Guitar Center in Arlington Heights, Ill last week and picked up a used Alvarez MC80 classical guitar, which is all solid mahogany back and sides and a solid cedar top. It sounded better than my Ramirez R4 and my Hirade HS88. The guitar is a $400 guitar! Louder, much deeper bass and clear high trebles. Amazing guitar! This guitar has been discontinued but if you can get your hands on one, buy it! I have been playing guitar for almost 50 years and I know a good sounding guitar when I hear one and the playability was fantastic, as well.
