Best value for money rock guitar?

ive been playing my acoustic for about 4 months now and im planning to buy a electric?with so many brands floating around its really confusing to take my pick...could anyone please help me decide?my budget is around 400$..

depends on your budget. Carvin guitars let you customise the guitar, with some awesome options like ORIGINAL floyd rose tremolos (made by schaller in germany, not the chinese ones) which ive only seen on other guitars worth $3000-$4000 or more..

carvins go for round $1000-2000 depending on your options.

if youre looking for something less expensive, ibanez (imo) has some pretty good SA series guitars, which are good for more than just rock
the RG series is more suited to rock though.

generally try to avoid a guitar that has a bad setup, like uneven frets ( the notes buzz, or can go completely dead on some frets when you play )

you could also try Jacksons JS series, idk how good the JS series is though. seem alright enough.
