BURNS BALDWIN VIRGINIAN WITH RARE BISGBY PALM PEDAL

Here is a rare guitar with a very rare Bigsby palm pedal .The Virginian is a semi acoustic type with a beefier sound than most semi acoustic guitars.Someone has added this Bigsby palm pedal to it and it really is quite unique. I'm just starting to get the feel of it as I just aquired it a couple of days ago. Anyone ever seen or played any guitars with this kind of palm pedal?

Very cool guitar with a number of non-stock mods! I have never seen a sunburst Virginian, not even at the Cincinnati Baldwin plant back in the 60s. The neck pup has been moved and the bridge is not like the Baldwin /Burns I have known. I assume the Bigsby was placed in response to the some what dodgey Reso-Tune devices Baldwin originally installed. Whether or not any of these changes came from Baldwin, though...I can't say. They did quite a bit of experimenting back then and I saw some strange and some very interesting mods.There is a very cool vid of Canadian Lenny Breau playing a Virginian on Youtube.
