Dean VX Review
Dean VX review
So here's where I review the Dean vx electric guitar. First things first - it's cheap. This one only costs about $199. If you're a beginner on a tight budget, this is one guitar you should probably take a look at and decide for yourself whether it's right for you. However, this guitar is obviously not for serious professionals and advanced players. The price alone should already indicate this and playing it reinforces that point.
Before I go any further let me point out its features. They include basswood body, 24-3/4" scale, 1-11/16" nut width, grover tuners, 22 frets, dot markers, chrome hardware, bolt-on construction, rosewood fingerboard,
maple neck, tune-o-matic bridge and zebra humbucker pickups. Some pretty nice features but the question is how well do they deliver?
This guitar is great for those interested in playing hard metal, but if you're looking for versatility don't buy this electric guitar. It is very limited. Sure, it's got the looks but the same can't be said about its quality. There is no Floyd on this one. After a while it goes out of tune very easily. The Dean VX is available in black and braziliaburst finishes. I prefer the braziliaburst. I have no issue with the finishes. I don't mean to totally bash the Dean VX electric guitar. After all, you're only paying 199 dollars so it would be foolish to expect it to sound or play like a 1000 dollar model. This is a basic guitar for people on a tight budget, and beginners who do not want to dish out hundreds of dollars so early. Be sure to read other reviews before taking my word for it. I have come across reviews that paint a very positive picture of this electric guitar even if I disagree with a lot of what is said. But it's up to you. You can either take my word for it or read through a number of reviews and come up with your own impressions.
