Epiphone G400 Vintage Review.

Epiphone G400 vintage review

Here's my review of the Epiphone G400 Vintage electric guitar. Firstly this is a very affordable guitar. I've seen it being sold for about 300 bucks online, and as low as 260 bucks. If you're on a budget, if you're a beginner, or student looking to save money, consider this classic. You can choose between worn brown and worn cherry depending on your personal taste.

Epiphone G400 Vintage Electric Guitar Next in this Epiphone G400 Vintage review, we shall take a look at the various features. These include worn satin finish and aged fretboard inlays, mahogany body, rosewood fretboard, mahogany single-piece set neck, chrome hardware, tune-o-matic bridge, 2 Alnico V pickups, and 1.6" wide nut. The Epiphone G 400 Vintage has a 24.75 inches scale. Several nice features.

The guitar has a very fast neck and it feels really good. I also liked the look of the worn finish, as well as the chrome hardware. I found the rosewood fingerboard to be finished nicely, and the frets are well polished. Some nice sounding chrome humbuckers. You can play some hard rock to some good blues on it.

While there are several great things about this guitar, there are some negatives as well. I hate the fact that the neck and headstock weigh more than the body of the guitar. Perhaps the only solution to this problem may be to use a wide leather strap. I experienced a terrible feedback when I was not actually playing the guitar. And the only way to stop it was to either start playing again or to turn the volume all the way down. Even then the annoying buzz doesn't stop entirely. I also do not like the fact that the guitar only stays in tune in dropped D tuning.

So with all the concerns I've mentioned in the Epiphone G400 Vintage review, this guitar is obviously geared towards beginners. You're only paying 300 bucks so you can't expect much. Personally, I'm not sure I would buy it though because there are several better options out there for that price. Feel free to read other reviews to decide whether or not it is right for you.
