Epiphone Les Paul Standard review.

Epiphone Les Paul Standard Review

The following is a review of the Epiphone Les Paul standard electric guitar. It sells for between 380 and 500 bucks online depending on the finish you choose. Finishes available include black, cherry sunburst, honey burst, transparent amber, transparent blue, vintage sunburst, and wine red. Its features include 2 humbucker pickups, chrome hardware, set neck joint, mahogany neck, 22 fret rosewood/trapezoid fingerboard, mahogany/alder body, carved maple top, and is 24.75 inches long.

Epiphone Les Paul Standard Review

Epiphone Les Paul Standard If you're looking for that legendary trademark Les Paul sound but don't want to spend too much for it, the Epiphone Les Paul Standard may be just what you need. It's a pretty good guitar for the price. And thanks to its 2 humbucking pickups you will get the big slabs of fat warm tones, transcontinental sustain, and deep, soulful distortion that you're looking for. It is these same attributes that made the Les Paul famous. When you want that classic vintage sound, this is the way to go. The guitar is compatible with many music styles and will sound great whether for live performances or recordings.

If you've got the money you could buy a Gibson Les Paul but if you're looking to save, the Epiphone Les Paul Standard may be your best bet. If you don't have the money as yet and can't wait until you have enough to buy a Gibson, consider this one. I'm quite impressed with what this mid-price range guitar can do.

The only noticeable difference is the pickups and these can be easily replaced. Instead of paying for the Gibson name at the top of the guitar, you can buy an Epiphone and replace the standard open-coil humbuckers with some nice duncans, get a good sound and save a good 400 bucks.

Next in this Epiphone Les Paul Standard review, permit me to mention my disappointments. And these are the weight of the guitar as well as the lack of a whammy bar. But these are true of all Les Pauls so it may not necessarily be a big concern.

Overall, a good guitar for the price.
