Epiphone Sheraton II Review.

Epiphone Sheraton II Review

This is my review of the Epiphone Sheraton II electric guitar. Last time I checked it was being sold for about 600 bucks at a leading online musical instruments retailer. There's different finishes to choose from including ebony, natural, and vintage sunburst.

In this Epiphone Sheraton II review, we shall now take a look at the features of the guitar. Its features include arched maple top, back and sides, dual humbuckers, laminated maple neck, gold hardware, vine inlay on peghead, mother-of-pearl and abalone fretboard inlays. It comes with a multiple bound body, neck, peghead, and F-holes. If you're looking for the fat, mellow tone of a Jazz guitar and the sustain of a solidbody all in one elegant instrument, this is it. Thanks to its solid center block and hollow "wings".

I love this guitar, particularly the fact that it is semi-hollow. I don't have to worry about disturbing anyone at home because if anyone finds that I'm playing too loud I can can just unplug it and take it anywhere I want to. It has great action on the neck. Whether you're playing burning metal runs or smooth bluesy and rockabilly tunes, this guitar will deliver. I find the sustain to be quite phenomenal and the tone is amazing. The pearl and mahogany inlays are simply gorgeous. The one I have access to is the darker mahogany version. The finish and workmanship is perfect. If you're looking for a beautiful instrument that you will be proud to display, this is it.

Next in this Epiphone Sheraton II review, permit me to mention some negatives. And this has to do with the pickups. It's one of my few disappointments. You may want to replace them with higher quality ones. How about Gibson 57 and 57 plus or anything that suits you.
There are many options available. Instead of buying a much more expensive guitar you can buy the Epiphone Sheraton II and simply replace the pickups for great output and a super clean sound. Great way to save yourself some money.

Overall, this is a great guitar. I love it. One of the best on the market for the price. But if you want to take it to the next level, replace the pickups and wiring.
