ESP LTD AX50 Review
ESP LTD AX50 Electric Guitar Review
In this review we shall take a look at the ESP LTD AX 50 electric guitar. Before I begin talking about my likes and dislikes let's examine its features. They include a bolt-on neck, basswood body with sculpted, very comfortable shape, 25-1/2" scale, ESP LH-150 pickups, volume and tone controls with 3-way toggle, back hardware, maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, a tune-o-matic bridge with string-thru-body and 24 XJ frets.
It's available in silver satin and black satin finishes. I really liked the silver satin.
The ESP LTD AX50 is basically a guitar for beginners. I played it a few times at a local music shop and it didn't sound too bad at all. Although it's not the best, I found it to be better than lots of guitars in its price range. It sells for about $219.00 and for that price, it's probably worth it. If you're starting out you can go for it but otherwise you may want to save up until you can buy something better. For kids and players with short arms, the neck is probably too long.
While it's not bad for the price, I still think it should have come with better pickups. I guess one can always put some new pickups on. I don't like the fact that it comes with a bolt on neck. Not the best guitar for fast solos and sweeps.
Overall, if you're a beginner, the ESP LTD AX-50 electric guitar might do the trick, but if you consider yourself a professional you might want to shop around for something of a higher quality. At the end, it's all up to you. Be sure to read other reviews to help you make the best choice.
