ESP LTD EC500 Review
ESP LTD EC500 Review
This is a review of the ESP LTD EC500 electric guitar.
Let's look at its features. They include set neck construction, 24.75" scale, mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, 42mm Earvana compensated nuts, thin U-shaped neck, flag inlays, 24 Extra Jumbo frets, black nickel hardware, grover tuners, EMG 81 (B) / 60 (N) Active pickups, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, triple creme binding (B/N/H), volume control, tone control and toggle switch.
This guitar sells for about $629.00 at leading online musical instrument retailers like zZounds, Musician's Friend and Music123. Finishes to choose from include black, see-thru black cherry and olympic white. My favorite is the olympic white.
I played the ESP LTD EC 500 in a store and was very impressed with how easy it was to play and how well it sounded. I have since read some favorable reviews on it. For the money, it's a great axe.
The wood is good and the pickups are great. I like the ENG 81/60 combination. It's more balanced than the popular 81/85 combination. It's a beautiful, light guitar. This guitar is relatively short but because of its short scale it's easier to get around it. And the fact that the neck is skinny makes it even better. If you're looking for a good mid-priced guitar, this is certainly worth it.
If you're in search of a fantastic neck, incredible playability, great size and comfort, great intonation and electronics that tune perfectly, all in one electric guitar, and at a good price, you've found it. The ESP LTD EC500 could have been easily sold for over 800 bucks.
Be sure to read other ESP LTD EC 500 reviews before deciding whether or not this one is for you. Compare other guitars in its range so as to choose the best guitar for you.
