The Esquire Fender guitar was Fender's first electric Spanish guitar. It was originally introduced in June of 1950 but was discontinued in September of the same year. The Broadcaster replaced it in October 1950. The Esquire guitar was reintroduced in early 1951.
The good news is that Fender 50's esquire is available today. This single pickup precursor to the Telecaster features an ash body, vintage Telecaster bridge with steel saddles, maple neck,and a lot more.
