Fender American Series Stratocaster ReviewHere's my review of the American Series Stratocaster. Firstly, I do not own this guitar but have played it for an extended period of time. I like the various options available including black rosewood, charcoal frost metallic maple, chrome blue rosewood, chrome red rosewood, chrome silver rosewood, and shoreline gold rosewood. Last time I checked, this guitar was being sold for about $974.99 at a leading online musical instruments seller. If you're in search of an electric guitar that offers versatility, great playability, and outstanding tone, for less than 1000 bucks, you should certainly consider the Fender American Series Stratocaster HH electric guitar. It's perfect for someone who likes that slinky strat feel, but want that fat humbucker tone.
I have a friend who has owned an American Series Stratocaster for two years now. He's review? Not good. According to him, the first year was great but after two years the guitar won't stay in tune. He says that the pickups don't work in 4 positions. Who knows? Maybe this was typical to the particular guitar he bought. I've heard from other guitarists who have owned it for years, that this is a perfect guitar with a smooth fretboard, fantastic humbuckers, and so on. If you buy this guitar, you may need to make adjustments to the factory setup. There may be too much neck relief, and the action may be too high. Since the tremolo is configured with three springs, it may be difficult for the guitar to stay in tune. As always, be sure to compare it to other models in its class, and read customer reviews before deciding whether or not the Fender American Series Stratocaster HH is right for you.
