Fender Jaguar Baritone Custom Review

Fender Jaguar Baritone Custom Review

Interested in the Jaguar Baritone Custom electric guitar? Here's my review. First of all, this is an affordable guitar. Last time I checked it was being sold for about 700 bucks at a leading online musical instrument retailer.

What features does the Fender Jaguar Baritone Custom electric guitar come with?

The alder body, maple neck guitar has a 28-1/2" scale. It features a rosewood fingerboard, 21 medium-jumbo frets, 2 single-coil Jaguar pickups, and vintage-style tuners. Tired of guitars that go out of tune easily? Then you will be happy to know that there's a fixed Adjusto-Matic bridge with anchored tailpiece that takes care of that. The guitar also comes with vintage Jaguar switching. This includes master volume and tone controls for each pickup, pickup on/off switches, and mid-tone cut/out switch.

For the price, this is a fantastic guitar. Although, if you're a metal player who wants fast frets for quick slick solos, this may not be the right one for you. The frets of this guitar are jumbo so the tone is deeper. I really love this electric guitar. It's has the coolest look, coolest feeling, and I really love its sound. And it's nice to know that I can shape the tone to suit my preferences 'cause this guitar comes with multiple tone shapers. If you're tired of those boring electric guitars, you may want to give this one a try.

I have one complaint about the Fender Jaguar Baritone Custom electric guitar. I find that the upper strings sound to thin, compared to the bottom four.

I like the diversity of the pickup. I am able to switch from one tone to another easily. Whether it is a more modern, high treble tone to a more beefy 60's tone, or whatever suits me at the time.

For the price, I'd say the Fender Jaguar Baritone Custom electric guitar is worth it. You may have to do adjustments to suit your preferences. I have even known some folks to change the single pick up coils for something better. Replacing them with pickups that can handle distortion without squealing. If you're playing music with heavy overdrive this may be necessary. But otherwise this is an amazing guitar.
