First Electric Guitar

Hey my name is David and I am 16 years old. I have been playing guitar for about 1 and half years now and so far I have only been playing on an acoustic. I have decided that I want to get an electric guitar. I have been doing some research but I cannot decide what guitar would fit me best. Any suggestions for a first electric?
