But professional players will love these basses. I'm talking about popular Gibsons such as the:
Gibson Thunderbird IV
The Gibson SG Reissue 4 String Bass
is the modern day version of Gibson’s classic dual-pickup SG-style bass from the 1960s, with new updated features. It has a short scale Rosewood fingerboard just like the original. It is the fastest Gibson bass. Other features include a mahogany body, two chrome plated humbucking pickups, and a traditional set-neck design.
The Gibson Thunderbird Studio 5 String Bass
combines Gibson’s traditional, proven set-neck design with the original 1963 "reverse body" Firebird shape. Features include a mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, 20 frets, mahogany neck, and two TB Plus ceramic humbucking pickups.
The Gibson Thunderbird IV
is the most highly respected of all Gibson basses. It debuted in 1963 with the original Firebird guitar series. It was reissued in 1987 with original reverse body styling and new, special-design humbucking pickups.
Other Gibson basses include the Gibson Les Paul Double Cut bass, Gibson Continental V bass, and Gibson BAL3. All of these basses sell for over $1000 - but it's value for money.
