Gibson SG Standard Review

Gibson SG standard review.

O.K. Here's my review of the SG standard electric guitar...

What immediately stands out is its light weight, incredible playability and its impressive tone, but more of that in a moment. There are three finishes to choose from - not many. You can choose between black, heritage cherry, and natural burst. It sells for between $1,169.00 and $1,269.00 depending on the finish you choose. The black one sells for less than the other two.

Gibson SG Standard Electric Guitar The Gibson SG Standard electric guitar comes with several great features. These include bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, double-cutaway beveled mahogany body, set mahogany neck with rounded profile, 498T humbucker in the bridge position, 490R humbucker in the neck position, chrome hardware, 2 tone knobs, 2 volume knobs, 3-way switch, and a 24-3/4" scale.

As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the best sounding, most comfortable guitars on the market. The playability is very good - great neck! And since the guitar is so nice, light, and comfortable, you can have more fun during long jam sessions. Forget about those heavy electric guitars out there.

If your playing involves a lot of complex chord work, you should be absolutely delighted with the Gibson SG Standard. This guitar makes it easy. Soloing also seems easier on the SG Standard, particularly at the lower frets.

If you're into that Aerosmith, AC/DC tone, you should consider getting this electric guitar. A true Rock n Roll experience! It doesn't matter whether you are a beginner or pro.

I've read several reviews of the Gibson SG Standard electric guitar myself and I'm sold. It seems that most negative reviews have to do with mechanical or cosmetic flaws with the particular guitar they bought. So not every SG would have the problem some reviewers talk about.

All in all, an amazing guitar!
