Hofner Beatle Bass

Hello, I have vintage Hofner Bass, it stills has the original serical number intact. My question is, how to I find out the age of my bass?

1. Is the company still in business? If so, check with them.
2. Find a museum that deals with or has a branch dealing with stringed instruments.
3. Check the library for info.
4. Type the name of the guitar into a search engine online, and see what you get.
Use lots of different search engines _including Ask.com_. It shows _all_ listings, not just the popular ones, or ones that pay to be listed.
