How long do electric guitar strings last?

Hi, I play electric guitar, and I'm wondering how long the strings will last... I play like 45 minutes a day, and i play hard. How long will the strings last?

don't waste your money on $5, $6 and $7 dollar strings - they will last about 3 months - the "G" string will go dead in maybe a month or less - buy Elixer 10 gauge - standard finish which is a lighter coating so as to allow the string to ring - they sound new even 1 year later - - G and D string don't go dead - that is all I use now - you will hear a huge difference in string tone, quality and see the longevity
