Ibanez GSR200 Review

Ibanez GSR200 Review

This is where I present a review of the Ibanez GSR200 bass guitar. First of all this guitar is pretty cheap. You can buy it for just about 200 bucks online. If you're a beginner or student, or if you're simply looking to save money on a bass guitar, you may want to consider the Ibanez GSR 200 4-string electric bass. Very good first bass. Also good as a backup bass. There are different models available including black, jewel, transparent red, and pearl white.

Ibanez GSR200 Electric BassSo what are the features of this affordable Soundgear bass? Well the features include an Agathis body, rosewood fretboard, one-piece maple neck, pearl dot inlay, chrome hardware, split-coil and single coil pickup combination, medium frets, fully adjustable bridge, and active EQ with Phat Bass boost. Depending on your preferences you may want to check out another model available with a quilt maple top. That model sells for about 60 bucks extra.

If you're looking for a bass that is light and easy to play, with a good range of sounds, this is it. The Ibanez GSR200 comes with simple features that make it easy to use. Simple yet handy tone and volume knobs. The tuners are also pretty responsive. The one I have access to is the Jewel Blue finish and it looks really good.

The bass sounds good but you may want to change the strings for a better sound. You may also need to slightly adjust the action. But for a first bass, this is a good buy. I am truly amazed at what one gets for such a low price.

I have tried a lot of cheap sounding basses in its price range but I can't say the same about the Ibanez GSR200. No matter what type of music you want to play, it won't disappoint. I like its sturdy feel and the gloss job is really nice.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this bass. I tried several basses in its price range and most of them were either too heavy, or too big. They also didn't look or sound as well as the Ibanez GSR200. This is a good bass to hold you over until you're ready to get an upgrade.
