Ibanez S470DXQM Review
Here's where I review the S470DXQM quilted maple electric guitar. You can find this guitar online for between $629.95 and $529.95 online. It all depends on the finish you're interested in.
Let's take a look at the features of the Ibanez S470DXQM. Some of them include a Wizard II neck, maple neck, mahogany body, 22 jumbo frets, quilted maple top, ZR bridge, and bound rosewood fingerboard. This electric guitar also includes a PSND1 neck pickup, PSNDS mid pickup, PSND2 bridge pickup, and S470DX special inlay.
In all these features mentioned above what really stands out in my view are the neck and bridge. I find the three piece maple neck very comfortable and smooth. I like the stability of the bridge. The knob intonation adjustment feature is quite useful.
The ZR tremolo is not perfect but pretty solid. I laid my right palm on it and played staccato rhythms and to my delight it just wouldn't move. When I grabbed the bar the Ibanez S470DXQM responded very well.
The guitar sounds very good, although I'm not satisfied with the sustain of the pickups. You may need to change the mics depending on your personal preferences.
As to the weight of the Ibanez S470DXQM quilted maple electric guitar? I found that despite its thin body, it was too heavy. And it's obviously due to the fact that it comes with a maple top and neck. How about its looks? Well this is the first thing that appealed to me. I've always like the sexy looks of Ibanez electric guitars.
All in all, a good guitar for the price. At the end of the day it's all about what works for you so be sure to read other electric guitar reviews and compare the S470DXQM to others in its class.
