Ibanez SR405 Review
Ibanez SR405 Review
This is where I review the Ibanez SR405 electric bass. This bass comes with 5 strings. Last time I checked it was available for about 480 bucks at a leading online musical instruments seller.
So what's so special about the Ibanez SR 405? Well first of all let's look at the various features it comes with. And these include an Ibanez exclusive EQB3 3-band bass EQ, solid Ibanez die-cast bass bridge, Ibanez DXP and DXJ passive bass pickups, lightweight American soft maple body for added low end, and a 5-piece Maple/wenge neck construction for added strength.
If you're looking for a bass guitar with easy playing of the neck, this is it. Actually, as far as I'm concerned this is one of the best features on this bass. It is smooth and playing it doesn't involve a work out. Although this is a good starter bass, professionals can buy it as well.
While I don't own the Ibanez SR 405, I played it for a long time at a local musical instruments store and was absolutely pleased with it. I like the EQ feature. It includes bass boost, slap, treble cut, fingering, and so on. I tried different styles of music on it and was very happy. The Elixir strings resulted in a very pleasing sound. The bass has everything I'm looking for and although I'm yet to buy it, I will eventually. I'm looking for an additional 5 string bass, but I don't want to spend much. So for less than 500 bucks, the Ibanez SR405 should do the trick.
It's true that there are lots of better basses out there. But you have to spend a lot more for them. When you need an affordable 5-string bass guitar, one that does the job for less, consider the Ibanez SR 405 electric bass. It's worth the price.
