Ibanez SR505 Review
Ibanez SR505 Review.
Here's where I review the Ibanez SR505 Soundgear 5-string bass. You will find this bass for about 580 bucks at leading online musical instrument retailers. This is a good bass for the price.
So what's so good about the Ibanez SR 505 bass? Well first of all let's take a look at its features. And these include an SR5 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck, 24 medium frets, a mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, Abalone oval inlay and Accu-Cast B25 bridge. How about the pickups?
Well there's a Bartolini MK1-5 neck pickup, as well as a Bartolini MK1-5 bridge pickup. This bass also comes with a Bartolini MK1 3-band equalizer.
Looking for a bass that provides rich warm lows and sweet sustain? Well the Ibanez SR505 won't disappoint, thanks to the mahogany body it comes with. And if you're looking for a strong, bright sound and an attractive appearance, the rosewood fingerboard offers just that. No longer do string changes have to be difficult. The ultra-durable die-cast Accu-Cast B2B bridge makes it easier than other bridges. And thanks to the single screww saddle height adjustment on the Ibanez SR 505, you get better stability than standard double screw designs.
I love this 5-string Ibanez bass. It is worth every cent and the value is amazing. It has awesome action and the punch is awesome. You will have a hard time finding a 5 string bass better than it for the price. I like its range in tone, treble, and bass - truly amazing. I like the fact that it comes with a balance knob for the two pickups. This means that I can get the boomiest bass sound I want or the most treble possible. If you want a wide range of sounds all you have to do is manipulate the various settings on the instrument.
Sure you can find better basses on the market. But they also cost a lot more. Overall, for the price, this is a good bass guitar. I highly recommend it.
