So what are the features on the Ibanez SR 506? Well it comes with a fast SR6 neck, 5pc Wenge/Bubinga neck material, 24 medium frets, a mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, abalone oval inlay, and a B106 bridge. As for the pickups, there's a Bartolini MK1-6 neck pickup and a Bartolini MK1-6 bridge pickup. The bass guitar also comes with chrome black hardware as well as a bartolini MK1-3 band equalizer.
Whether you're playing this bass at home, practice, in a studio or on stage, you won't be disappointed. I've been playing it in my band and really like the way it blends in with the other instruments. The 3 band equalizer is definitely an asset. I guess I like six string basses for the amount of range they have as well. The Ibanez SR506 provides you with everything you want as a working bass player. I own a Tobias bass guitar as well, and the Ibanez SR506 is much lighter than it. Very good for a 6 string bass. Although the Tobias is more glossy and more classy than it, the sound matches it and this is what's most important. I still like the finish on the Ibanez. Overall, this bass is awesome. I really like the sound of the Ibanez SR506 electric bass, thanks to the bartolini neck and bridge pickups it comes with. With such an incredible sound this bass could probably sell for double the price and still be worth it. No kidding. It has a really rich and smooth sound.
