by DAVE
(VANCOUVER BC)

ODYSSEY NECK THROUGH

ODYSSEY NECK THROUGH

Here is my Canadian made Odyssey guitar from circa 1977-80 .It is a neck through beauty hand made brass bridge, tailpiece and control knobs. It plays extremely well ,very hard to put it down.I have a couple more awesome made Canadian guitars to show you that are right up there with the best of the best .1978 JK Lado custom and a Signature guitar Odyssey model (no relation to Odyssey guitars of Vancouver, these were designed by Alex Lifeson of Rush in 1989-91 era)

ODYSSEY GUITAR
by: Anonymous

I have an exact same one except the finish seems lighter and the stop bar is a Badass one. Bought it relatively cheap but was offered quite a good amount for it. Said no of course! ;-)
I like it a lot. Sound is very unique!
What model was it?

Odyssey guitar
by: Dave from Vancouver

Yes the finish is a little different on all of them that is because they were all handmade individually so no two are identical.I have another one with the badass bridge as well and one that was totally stripped for some reason or it never made it to production possibly ,still a mystery. I'm not sure of the model name off hand of the one pictured, I do know it is not the very top model of Odyssey but the one right below it . Sold for around $1,000.00 in 1979 so a hefty price for the time. I'm hanging on to mine as they are getting harder and harder to find and I just love to play them ,real works of art .Thank you Attila may you rest in peace.

Odyssey Guitar
by: John

I have an Odyssey guitar that looks exactly like the one in the picture. It's Tobacco shaded, Mahogany body and Mahogany/maple neck. The pick ups are DiMarzio Dual Sound. The model is "Mahogany Guitar". I played this guitar for many years in bands etc.
Would you or somebody you know be interested in purchasing this gem?
Thank You.
John

Odyssey Guitar
by: John

I still have an Odyssey guitar for sale. I live in Phoenix Az. If I don't sell it I will keep it as a collector's item. It is in excellent condition.
I realize there may be a logistics problem (AZ-Canada).
Make an offer.
I tried to send an E-Mail response to Indigoresonace but it didn't go through.
Please see my Dec. 6 comment for description. Pictures are available on request.
Thank you.

Odyssey
by: Steve

I bought mine back in 78 at Iron Music but had to have the pickups redone in 95 (with original di marzio's ). Haven't seen many like mine with the separate switch for the pickups up on the top and four separate vol / tone controls. Maybe it was an earlier model. (serial no. 097) Had the frets dressed and now its as fine as it was 33 years ago. I wish I was.

Nice Guitar!!
by: Peter Maher

I have the exact same guitar, never seen another one like I was always told it was a Lado, maybe for the neck though style and look, very cool to see another one, I got it from my uncle back around 1990, he had it for years before that, he traded a motorcycle for it, I always thought that was a cool story. Not selling mine either, a little too sentimental.
