Review of Gibson ES 175d, two pick-up

by Bob Hardison
(Columbia, Tn.)

This guitar (Gibson ES 175d) is one of the best that I have ever owned. I have changed the pick-ups to get the exact sound for me, but the original pick-ups are perfect for all that I've talked to, but I guess I'm just a perfectionist. I'm using two different pick-ups (front and rear). It is a jazz type guitar, but for me, I play country and old time popular tunes like summertime, Tea for two, Besa ma mucho etc. I just know that I will never sell or trade this guitar. I've owned it for over 30 years.
