Samick Bass Guitars

Many of the Samick bass guitars are designed by Greg Bennett. Samick has been in the business for many years, and has made parts and products for many of the best names in guitars. Bennett was chosen to design a new product line for them. He was chosen on the basis of his experience in the guitar business, design principles, and performance.

Greg Bennett's bass guitars are made with special woods from exotic places around the world, including Indian rosewood, African ebony, and North American hard rock maple. Top quality electronics and hardware are used as well on these bass guitars. Each is set up and inspected before being shipped out to the buyer.

One of the notable choices among the Samick bass guitars is the Cobra, which has a good-looking black body with red tips on the wings. In addition to the cool look of this bass, which can be purchased for around $700, it is also reported to have a great, versatile sound. It is supposed to sound good playing jazz or blues just like it does playing heavy metal or punk. It has a neck through body, which is characteristic of the better basses, in many instances.

Another good looking member of the Samick collection is the Tabu, which also can be purchased for around $700. This bass also has neck through body construction with a black body made of sculpted ash wood with double deep cutaways. It has a classic feel something like that of a violin. It comes with GHS strings that are reported to have too much brightness for this electric bass.

Samick bass guitars also include the Fairlane, which is a six string bass also designed by Greg Bennett. It is available in transparent red or vintage sunburst. It retails for around $800 and has a bolt-on neck, 22 frets, and a 34 inch scale.
