Should I buy a 3/4 size electric guitar?

I would appreciate your advice. I am going to start lessons and want to know if I should buy a full or 3/4 size electric guitar? I am a small woman with very small hands!!

If you buy a 3/4 guitar it's usually 18 frets, so it depends what music you're planning to play.
