Firstly, it's hard to recommend a suitable electric guitar without knowing exactly how much you're willing to spend. Secondly, you will always come across negative reviews for cheaper guitars. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy one. A lower end model will never be as good as a higher priced electric guitar since it costs so much less. Reviewers often bash these guitars forgetting that they cost less for a reason. Keep in mind that a guitar can be upgraded. Later on, you can change strings, pickups, and so on. When it comes to electric guitars and other instruments, generally, the more you spend the better it gets.
