Value of Guild electric guitar

I have a 1982 Guild M80 electric guitar with a bound body, and was wondering how much you thought it would be worth.

A SUGGESTION TO TRY FROM V.T.
by: Keith P.

First of all, It's hard to value anything unless you physically see it, are there any: scratch's knicks or dings? structural damage? warped neck? It's like a classic car the better the condition & originality the better the value, also these guitars had optional accesserys like; optional coil tap switch and or phase switch if you got them its worth more, the color sunburst are generally worth more, I know the fenders are, they had 4 differant colors.sunburst, red sunburst, candy apple red, & black, they all have a maple top & mahogany bottom, all had 2 XR-7 humbuckers, M-80s were manufactured from 1975-83 I would take it to a appraiser that knows vintage instruments or for a little money you could get a guild vintage price guide at your local book store, (barnes & noble) I saw one "82" M-80 on a canadian site selling for $1,000.00 & it had a out of phase switch, but lots of knicks to:go to guitarscanada.com to see posted 11-20-09 just guessing if yours is in better shape,is sunburst or red sunburst & has coil & phase switchs the skies the limit!! im not going to give you a price...the ? is whats it worth to you?? hope this helps!!
