What can you tell me about this second hand electric "Blake"guitar?

by RL
(New Jersey)

Many years ago I bought a second-hand electric guitar and stored it. My son just found it. It has the word Blake written on it and it is blue. Is Blake a brand or is it a model of a brand? I can't find any information on the web. I think I purchased it in the early 1990s or late 1980s.

Blake guitar mystery
by: Biscuiteer

I too, have a Blake 335 copy with EMG selects. It's black with blacked out hardware. The only other references to Blake guitars I could find was someone on Craigslist with an identical blacked out headless bass - they were asking $200 for it, and someone on Ebay with a fretless bass with the same lettering on the headstock, but saying it was made by some reknown luthier with the last name Blake. They wanted $2600 for that! That's all I got...

Blake headless - red
by: Anonymous

I also have a Blake. It's red. Two knobs, three switches. Came with a real flimsy case, bought a STEINBERGER case that fits perfectly, and more protected. 3 EMG single coils. Gave $150 for it.
