Fixer upper peavey option.
by: Anonymous

I swapped out the pickups in my Peavey Raptor Plus EXP and it sounds a lot better. I installed a Dimarzio DP100 in the bridge for total rocking sound and the middle is a HS2 and the neck is a HS3 for clean and blues. This allows this otherwise cheap sounding guitar to sound good.

On the bad side, the pickups cost more than the guitar and I will need to swap out the pickguard which was warped probably due to the original owner leaving it in a hot car.

Costs- Free guitar
DP100 Humbucker - 70.00
HS2 Hum cancelling single coil - 60.00
HS3 Hum cancelling single coil - 60.00
Pickguard - 30 bucks plus I will have to carve it out myself since the fender one won't fit.
